This notice explains what personal information Bloma Nathi Radio collects through this website, why we collect it, and what happens to it. It is written to meet our obligations under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Who we are
Bloma Nathi Radio is an online radio station based at 1699 Molahloe Street, Orlando East, Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa. For anything in this notice you can reach us at majokanatmedia@gmail.com or 081 047 8061.
What we collect
Only what you choose to give us. If you use the contact form on this site, we collect:
- your name
- your email address
- the message you write
We do not ask for anything else, and there is nothing on this site that collects personal information in the background.
Why we collect it
To read your message and reply to it. That is the only reason. We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Where your message goes
Please read this part. The contact form is handled by FormSubmit, a form delivery service, which receives your submission and forwards it to our email inbox. This means your name, email address and message pass through servers outside South Africa.
If you would rather not use a third-party service, contact us directly instead — by email, by phone, or on WhatsApp on 081 047 8061. Those reach us without going through the form.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. We do not know who visits, and we do not follow you around the internet.
Two third-party services load as part of the page and will see your IP address, as any service does when your browser requests something from it:
- Google Fonts — supplies the typefaces used on this site.
- Zeno.FM — carries the live audio stream. This only loads when you press play.
How long we keep it
Messages sent through the form stay in our email inbox for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry, and no longer than is reasonable afterwards. Ask us to delete yours and we will.
Who else sees it
Nobody outside the station, apart from the service described above that delivers the message to us. We do not share your information with advertisers or any other third party.
Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. You can also object to us using it. Write to majokanatmedia@gmail.com and we will respond.
If you believe we have handled your information badly and we have not resolved it with you, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
Children
This site is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
